An enthralling account of Jamie Andrew s ascent, with Jamie Fisher, of the
North Face of Les Droites in January 1999 and his subsequent rescue and
rehabilitation after being caught in a storm near the summit that pinned them
down for 5 days. It was a miracle that Jamie Andrew lived to tell the tale and
he describes how he had to come to terms with, not only the death of his
friend, but also the loss of both his hands and feet due to severe frostbite.
