This is a definitive guidebook covering the granite bouldering to be found in the Sintra area of Portugal to the north of Lisbon. Sintra is Portugal’s best known bouldering area, and this Guidebook describes 1,200 problems across a wide range of grades from Fb 3’s through to Fb 8a+, plus some unfinished projects.
The guidebook is split into 11 different areas, these being Malveira, Pedra Amarela, Peninha, Capuchos, Monte Rodel, Vale das Acacias, Altos Picos, Albarrasintra, Sao Pedro, Tapada, and Praia do Cavalo.
All the problems are shown on colour photo topos, along with a short description. Each problem is also shown on a boulder map, with the Fontainebleau grading system used throughout. For each area and sector there are location maps, GPS coordinates for the parking areas and key boulders, plus detailed access information.
Published in May 2021 this guidebook is in English text throughout, and includes many inspiring action photographs.
