Arctic Circle Bouldering

A new bouldering guidebook for Helgeland and Salten in Northern Norway
A comprehensive bouldering guidebook for the region of Nordland in Norway
which lies just south of Lofoten.

This guidebook covers the biggest and best bouldering areas in the regions of
Helgeland and Salten in Northern Norway just south of Lofoten. Some of these
areas have been covered earlier in the guidebook “Arctic Circle Climbing” by
Sveinung B. Råheim and Sten Stenkjær from 2006. During the 13 years since the
old guidebook was published the areas have seen much development and several
new areas have been opened. So here comes a thorough, updated guidebook.

The project of documenting og producing the book is done by Rasmus Bølling – a
Danish climber who moved to Bodø, Norway in 2016. He has been an active
boulderer for more than 13 years and has in the process of making the book
added many first ascents in the region.

The goal has been to make an easily read book with pictures of all the
boulders and clear and precise maps for easy navigation. The book is written
in English to reach out to a wide audience of both norwegian and foreign
climbers travelling in Northern Norway.
