In their infinite quest for unclimbed big walls, adventurers Sean Villanueva
O’Driscoll, Nicolas Favresse, Stephane Hanssens and filmmaker Evrard
Wendenbaum travelled in September 2013 to a remote valley in the westernmost
region of China. There, they found a beautiful 4000-foot vertical rock pillar,
culminating at 5842m.
They spent 14 days with their musical instruments hanging on the mountain in
order to elevate themselves to the summit of Kyzyl Asker topping out at over
19,000 feet. The relentless obstacle and the unexpected, harsh weather
conditions lead to a real battle with their spirit and limits.
If you want to discover a largely unknown mountain, laugh a lot, follow an
exceptional big wall ascent, and sing songs, this film is for you.
53 minutes. French with English, Dutch, German, Polish, Italian, Spanish and
Czech subtitles.
