Eiger solo DVD

Now available as a DVD Eiger Solo has been re-edited and now includes several
extras including how they filmed it, Eric Jones› first base jump off the Eiger
and a previously unseen interview with Don Whillans on what he thought of Eric
Jones. Filming Eric on his climb was almost as great a challenge.

Leo Dickinson had to be lowered from a helicopter to Death Bivouac, high on
the mountain to film Eric’s progress. The climax of the film recreates John
Harlin’s five thousand foot fall during the winter ascent of the Eiger direct
