The guidebook has walks and climbs in the Picos de Europa, a limestone range
\nto the north of the central section of the Cordillera Cantabrica, on the
\nnorthern Atlantic shore of Spain, Europe. Routes divided into two main groups:
\nvalley-based and mountain, of all grades.<\/p>\n
Though relatively modest in terms of altitude and extent, the Picos are, in
\nfact, unique among Europe’s mountains in a number of ways: geologically, for
\nbeing the largest single mass of mountain limestone in the continent,;
\ngeographically, for being the only true maritime range Europe possesses and
\nsociologically, for retaining even to this day a large part of the culture
\nthat has for centuries been the basis of life in the towns and villages dotted
\naround the area.<\/p>\n
The first section of the book deals with background information such as
\ngeology, flora, fauna and history and the routes have been divided into two
