Espen Nordahl\u2019s Ski Touring In Troms was first published in 2010, and it has
\nserved as a guide for thousands of people searching for experiences in the
\nLyngen Alps, in the Troms\u00f8 area and other coastal mountains in Northern
\nNorway. The new edition consists of several new routes, updated route
\ndescriptions, new images and better maps. The island of Senja has also been
\nincluded as a ski touring destination.<\/p>\n
The book gives detailed descriptions of ascents and descents, for the beginner
\nas well as for the expert. All the trips include aerial photos with routes
\nindicated. Each chapter ends with an overview map (1:250 000) as well as
\nindividual maps for the summits (1:50 000).<\/p>\n
The book also includes more than 140 pictures. There is a chapter on avalanche
\nsafety written by avalanche expert Kjetil Brattlien, as well as a chapter on
\nski history written by mountain guide Ake Hedlund.<\/p>\n
Espen Nordahl (1960) moved to Troms\u00f8 in 1982 and has been one of the city\u2019s
