Paula Wright, Julia<br \/>\nPulwicki and Stewart Weaver also provide accounts of a few early<br \/>\nmountaineering expeditions to the region.  <\/p>\n<p>In addition, you\u2019ll get a chance to learn more about the prolific career of<br \/>\nJapanese alpinist Yasushi Yamanoi, known for alpine-style first ascents on<br \/>\nsome of the world\u2019s highest and most challenging peaks\u2014as told by Indian<br \/>\nclimber and liaison officer Sartaj Ghuman. Anindya Mukherjee, another<br \/>\nmountaineer from India, recounts some of his expeditions, often accompanied by<br \/>\nlocal Lepcha residents, around the East Ridge of Kangchenjunga.
