This is a comprehensive guidebook (topo) covering the sport climbing around the coastal town of Castell\u00f3n de la Plana, just north of Valencia. In total it covers 30 different crags and more than 2,600 routes across a wide range of grades and different styles. Due to the orientation of the crags around Castell\u00f3n it is possible to climb in this area all year round.<\/p>\n
Some of the larger crags included in the guidebook are:
\nJerica, El Castellet, Orpesa, Torrechiva, Murs, Xert, Morella, and Forcall.<\/p>\n
All the routes are shown on colour photo topos. For each of the 30 crags, there is a description of the style of climbing to be found, plus a location map, GPS co-ordinates for the parking, and when the best season is to climb. Symbols indicate the style of climbing, orientation, height of the crag, approach time, minimum rope length required and how child friendly the crag is.<\/p>\n
Published in 2025, this guidebook is in Spanish and English text throughout. \u00a0This Costa Azahar climbs guidebook has been published by local climbers, who are committed to using part of the profit from this guidebook for the bolting and re-equipping of these crags around Castell\u00f3n.<\/p>\n
