ll Canton Ticino<\/strong> \u00e8 un territorio limitato ma che, per certi versi, rappresenta uno dei luoghi pi\u00f9 iconici e ricchi d\u2019Europa per l\u2019arrampicata<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

Questo \u00e8 sicuramente vero per il boulder<\/strong>: sin dalla rinascita di questa disciplina negli anni Novanta, il Ticino \u00e8 diventato davvero il riferimento mondiale dei sassisti<\/strong>. La sua storia, la concentrazione di blocchi<\/strong> estremi<\/strong> e il contributo dato dal gran numero di top<\/strong> climber<\/strong> passati di qui lo hanno reso la vera e propria mecca del bouldering moderno<\/strong>, capace di surclassare persino la mitica Fontainebleau<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Ma il Ticino non \u00e8 solo boulder. Qui troviamo falesie storiche<\/strong> come i Denti della Vecchia<\/em><\/strong> o la stessa Cresciano<\/strong><\/em>, la cui tradizione verticale precede la scoperta dei suoi celebri massi, insieme a molte altre realt\u00e0, antiche e pi\u00f9 recenti. Allo stesso tempo, il cantone offre innumerevoli possibilit\u00e0 per le vie lunghe<\/strong>: dal Poncione d\u2019Alnasca<\/strong><\/em>, al Monte Eus<\/strong><\/em>, alla Parete di Osogna<\/strong><\/em>, giusto per citare alcune delle mete pi\u00f9 note. Il tutto immerso in un contesto naturale straordinario, con valli iconiche per la loro bellezza anche al di l\u00e0 dell\u2019arrampicata, prima fra tutte la Val Verzasca<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Riassumere in poche pagine ci\u00f2 che il Ticino offre agli arrampicatori \u00e8 dunque un compito arduo, e forse anche un po\u2019 presuntuoso. Ci abbiamo comunque provato, avvalendoci della collaborazione di figure che la storia verticale del cantone l\u2019hanno vissuta e la conoscono bene.\u00a0Egon<\/strong> Bernasconi<\/strong>, Davide Mazzucchelli, Roberto Bassi, Fabrizio Fratagnoli <\/strong>e Matteo Della Bordella<\/strong> condivideranno con noi la loro esperienza offrendo proposte e spunti di riflessione per vivere al meglio le pareti di questa splendida regione.<\/p>\n

Per raccontare il \u00a0boulder abbiamo voluto invece dare voce a chi lo ha vissuto in prima persona fin dagli inizi: Claudio Cameroni<\/strong> ci offrir\u00e0 una sintesi appassionata della storia del bouldering ticinese, mentre con Giuliano<\/strong> e Diego<\/strong> approfondiremo il tema affiancati dalle considerazioni di Greta Di Biase<\/strong>, la promettente stella del bouldering italiano.<\/p>\n

The Canton of Ticino is a small area, but in some ways, it represents one of the most iconic and richest climbing locations in Europe!<\/p>\n

This is certainly true for bouldering: since the discipline’s resurgence in the 1990s, Ticino has truly become the world’s leading bouldering destination. Its history, the concentration of extreme boulders, and the contribution of the large number of top climbers who have passed through have made it a true mecca of modern bouldering, surpassing even the legendary Fontainebleau.<\/p>\n

But Ticino isn’t just bouldering. Here we find historic crags such as Denti della Vecchia or Cresciano itself, whose vertical tradition predates the discovery of its famous boulders, along with many other crags, both ancient and more recent. At the same time, the canton offers countless opportunities for long routes: from Poncione d’Alnasca to Monte Eus to Parete di Osogna, to name just a few of the most well-known destinations. All immersed in an extraordinary natural setting, with valleys iconic for their beauty beyond climbing, first and foremost the Verzasca Valley.<\/p>\n

Summing up in just a few pages what Ticino has to offer climbers is therefore a daunting, and perhaps even a bit presumptuous, task. We’ve tried, however, with the collaboration of figures who have experienced the canton’s climbing history and know it well. Egon Bernasconi, Davide Mazzucchelli, Roberto Bassi, Fabrizio Fratagnoli, and Matteo Della Bordella will share their experiences with us, offering suggestions and insights for making the most of the walls of this splendid region.<\/p>\n
