This is a comprehensive guidebook describing the rock climbing on the numerous granite walls that surround Ailefroide, covering both single pitch sport routes and long multi-pitch alpine routes.<\/p>\n
The guidebook describes 343 single pitch sport routes from easy F3\u2019s to F9a across 13 sectors. Also included are 168 long multi-pitch alpine routes from F5a to F6c in 23 sectors that are up to 500m long. The vast majority of these multi-pitch routes are well bolted and face all directions around Ailefroide in a fantastic alpine setting.<\/p>\n
All the routes are shown on colour photo topos. For the multi-pitch routes there is also a short description, along with the required number of quickdraws, and\/or the trad gear required. Also shown on the topos are the abseil points (and length) along with any other descent information. For each sector there is a location map, approach information, and orientation.<\/p>\n
Including a few clean climbs. The surroundings and the routes themselves are in a fantastic alpine setting. Perfect for the hot summer, but also suitable for warmer spring and fall days.
\nAlmost all topos can be found on color photos, a few are presented graphically. Otherwise, the routes are all described clearly and adequately.<\/p>\n
