The Cyprus Climbing Guidebook is dedicated to showcasing the impressive climbing opportunities across the island of Cyprus. Published by a passionate group of climbers united by our love for the sport and desire to share the island’s hidden gems with climbers worldwide.

With over 650 routes across more than 25 sectors, this guidebook is your passport to the best of Cyprus sport climbing. From seasoned climbers seeking new challenges (we’ve got first ascents waiting for you!) to beginners eager to explore the sport, you’ll find something worthwhile in the Cyprus climbing scene.

This book includes detailed descriptions, maps, high-quality topos and all the practical information and insider tips you’ll need for an unforgettable experience.

It describes 5 main areas, which are; Paphos and Troodos in southern Cyprus; and Famagusta, West Pentadaktylos, and Central Pentadaktylos in Northern Cyprus.  In total there more than 25 crags, with routes across a wide range of grades from low F5s to around F8b+/8c, with many projects still open. This breaks down as follows:

130 routes between F6a and F6b+
178 routes between F6c and F7a+
128 routes between F7b and F7c+
96 routes over F8a

This sport climbing guidebook celebrates the island’s unique beauty, from secluded and unspoilt mountain areas to rugged coastal cliffs, and includes over 650 sport climbing routes, more than 25 crags, high resolution topo photos and a comprehensive introduction section. 20% of the profits from the book return directly to the local climbing community through the Cyprus Climbing Community Development Fund, which supports bolting, rebolting and crag maintenance.
