Bhutan at 1:400,000 on a map from the Kathmandu-based Nepa Maps highlighting
main trekking routes, national parks and places of interest, plus maps of
Thimpu City and the Paro area, etc.
Satellite-derived base provides a good representation of the countrys
topography; main rivers, peaks and mountain passes are named. National parks
and other protected areas are highlighted. The map shows the countrys road
network plus highlights and names numerous trekking routes. Symbols indicate
locations of base camps, various religious sites, museums, etc. Latitude and
longitude lines are drawn at 30 intervals. The index has separate lists for
places, peaks, passes, lakes, base camps, dzongs, monasteries and chortens.
Also provided is an enlargement of the Paro area including the international
airport, a street plan of Thimpu City indicating locations of hotels and
various facilities, tables showing monthly temperatures at various locations,
wind chill and heat indexes, plus a list of 27 trekking routes with difficulty
rating and altitude change, etc.
