Shortly after the English guide ‹7 + 8› was published by Bart van Raaij,
another guide emerged in 2003 targeting the same audience: the French full-
color guide Bleau, Jardin Public, written by Frigault and Naëls (with maps by
Gérard Magnes and published by the Lyceum André-Malraux in Montereau). Like
Bart van Raaij’s guide, Bleau, Jardin Public focusses on the harder problems
starting at 7a (about US V6 or British B7), although a considerable number of
6c problems are listed as well. Except for the fact that one guide is in
English and the other one in French, there is another major distinction. In
Bleau, Jardin Public, apart from the straight-ups, traverses are listed as
well.
