All the sport climbing crags of Southern Sardinia, in the graphic format of the old editions of Pietra di Luna, which have enjoyed unanimous success throughout the world.
In this first volume of the new series of Pietra di Luna guides dedicated to the various areas of Sardinia, we examine a diagonal portion of territory to the east of the Campidano plain which extends from Monte Arci (Oristano) to the Monti del Sarrabus (Sette Fratelli) and the marvelous coasts of Villasimius.
The crags covered in this volume are indicated on the cover: they are updated to 2025, grades, new routes, approaches, stories, routes.
Villasimius , the incredible light granite cliff, a piece of Patagonian rock on the seashore. Pure charm. There are also the latest news from recent years!
The Sàrrabus cliffs are treated from a sporting perspective. The Garibaldi sports area , recently equipped, the popular post-covid novelty of Montezuma , undoubtedly one of the most beautiful granite cliffs in Sardinia. Without forgetting the wild and hidden Castello Arxiolu , with its incredible tafoni. We are sure you didn’t know it yet!
We continue with the historic and super popular Cagliari cliff of Cala Fighera , very popular with all the kids who liven up the city gyms. Ideal for a first contact with the rock.
Further north towards Oristano, here is an important novelty: Segariu . With its almost 150 routes, it is probably the most important novelty of recent years in Sardinia. Routes of only 15 meters but high quality limestone, from grade IV to 8b+. It’s all there, right down to the last hour.
A few steps away is the revived Furtei , completely restored and renovated with many easy routes. Another super friendly crag for those who love comfort.
Continuing north, here is Isili , the most famous center covered in this guide, to which the cover is dedicated. With its overhangs with holes that continue to attract, today as yesterday, hundreds of climbers almost 40 years after their discovery.
Samugheo , not far away, is a center that has nothing to envy Ulassai. Many cliffs in the space of just one square kilometer, an excellent refuge where you can camp. Not many people know this area but the rock is among the best in Sardinia. Try it and believe it, and then just look at the photos in the guide!
The review closes with Monte Arci , one of the most particular cliffs on the island, basalt with notches for all tastes in a place of wild nature.
We are sure there is enough for a different Sardinian holiday, far from the crowds, far from the usual destinations.
