Teplice – famous Czech sandstone area – mostly very traditional, several new
sport routes
One of the most traditional sandstone areas in the Czech Republic. There are
plenty of parallel cracks and chimneys in the Adrspach Sandstone Town area,
challenging high faces in the Teplice Sandstone Town area and climbing for
ordinary people with relatively good amount of handholds in Krizovy Vrch
(Cross Hill). Climbing is very traditional with long distances between
anchors. It is very romantic environment. Three hours by car from Prague.
Routes are equipped by sandstone rings with long distances, there is necessary
to use slings. Usage of metal equipment (chocks, friends) is not allowed.
Chalk should not be used. Climbing after rain is not allowed.
