The Selvaggio Blu trek is a long and challenging trek along the unspoiled
cliffs of the Gulf of Orosei on the east coast of the island of Sardinia.
It has been called ‹Italy’s most difficult trek›, probably with good reason:
seven very tough days, with no roads or mountain huts, with difficult route
finding and a lack of water, and, in addition, some very exposed sections on
which it’s necessary to use a rope.
Selvaggio Blu is the name that creators gave to the central section of this
long, extremely technical and demanding trek along the wild coastline of the
Gulf of Orosei, from Santa Maria Navarrese to Cala Gonone.
Seven days in total isolation in the Supramonte of Baunei, and to a lesser
extent in the Supramonte of Dorgali, that leave their mark for ever in the
heart of all hikers who take up this challenge.
This guide describes each stage and every section- in great detail, and,
beyond the maps provided, also gives precious hints and tips to best prepare
you for tackling this stupendous Mediterranean adventure.
