Climbing Guidebook Leonidio & Kyparissi 2026

The new edition for the climbing mecca in the Peloponnese is out! This edition is essentially a revised version of the 2025 edition, with a few details added to the climbing guide.

Local development continues unabated – 14 new sectors and 355 new routes have been added compared to the 2022 edition. The current climbing guidebook for Leonidio & Kyparissi – Edition 2026 now contains an impressive 2673 single-pitch and 49 multi-pitch routes spread over 111 sectors.

The guidebook is very clearly laid out and provides all the necessary information in a compact format. Each sector is preceded by an introductory text and a detailed description of the approach. Further information follows as a tabular overview (number of routes sorted by grade) and in pictogram form (altitude, orientation, wall gradient, access time, parking situation, child-friendliness, GPS coordinates, …). The topos are laid over color photographs and are very easy to read.

The climbing guide is accompanied by a 72-page brochure containing further information on how to get there, history, climate and local infrastructure, suggestions for break days, local cuisine, accommodation, soft tourism, … as well as the development of climbing around Leonidio. This division into climbing guidebook + brochure is an interesting idea, which has reduced the size and weight of the guidebook.

With the purchase of this climbing guide you support local, sustainable projects of the Panjika Cooperative as well as the local climbing community, which finances new openings and refurbishments of old climbing routes far beyond the borders of Leonidio.

Die Auflage 2026 für das Klettermekka auf den Peloponnes ist da! Die vorliegende Auflage ist im Grunde eine überarbeitete Version der 2025er Auflage, im Kletterführer wurden einige Details ergänzt, korrigiert und glattgezogen.

Die Erschließung vor Ort geht unvermindert weiter – 14 neue Sektoren und 355 neue Routen sind im Vergleich zur Auflage 2022 dazugekommen. Der aktuelle Kletterführer für Leonidio & Kyparissi – Edition 2026 beinhaltet beeindruckende 2673 Einseillängen- und 49 Mehrseillängenrouten verteilt auf 111 Sektoren.

Der Führer ist sehr übersichtlich gestaltet und liefert kompakt alle notwendigen Informationen. Jedem Sektor ist ein Einführungstext sowie eine genaue Zustiegsbeschreibung vorangestellt. Weitere Infos folgen als tabellarischer Überblick (Routenanzahl geordnet nach Grad) sowie in Piktogrammform (Meereshöhe, Ausrichtung, Wandneigung, Zustiegszeit, Parkplatzsituation, Kinderfreundlichkeit, GPS Koordinaten, … ). Die Topos sind über Farbfotografien gelegt und sehr gut lesbar.

Dem Kletterführer liegt eine 72seitige Broschüre bei, welche weiterführende Informationen, u.a. zu Anreise, Geschichte, Klima und Infrastruktur vor Ort, Vorschläge für Pausentage, lokaler Küche, Übernachtung, sanften Tourismus, … sowie die Entwicklung des Klettern rund um Leonidio zusammenfasst. Diese Aufteilung in Kletterführer + Broschüre ist eine interessante Idee, so konnten Umfang und Gewicht des Kletterführes entsprechend reduziert werden.

Mit dem Erwerb diese Kletterführers unterstützt ihr lokale, nachhaltige Projekte der Panjika Cooperative sowie die lokale Klettercommunity, welche Neuerschließungen und Sanierungen alter Kletterrouten weit über die Grenze Leonidios hinaus finanziert.
